U.S. Space and Rocket Center
The world's largest space attraction features dozens of interactive exhibits surrounding Apollo, Mercury and Space Shuttle spacecraft. Rockets developed in Huntsville range from the Army boosters that put America's first satellite and astronauts in orbit to NASA's Saturn V moon rocket and the Space Shuttle. The U. S. Space & Rocket Center is the only place in the world where you can stand under a "full stack" - the Space Shuttle, external tank and two rocket boosters.

Huntsville Botanical Garden
The beautiful 110-acre garden near the Space & Rocket Center has stunning floral collections, inviting woodland paths and broad grassy meadows. Annuals and perennials are ablaze with color from early spring through late fall. A lovely brick pavilion is the focal point of the aquatic garden. A lush fern glade and demonstration vegetable garden have interpretive labels to explain their botanical treasures.

Sci-Quest
The place for hands-on science exploration in Huntsville and the Tennessee Valley is Sci-Quest, the North Alabama Science Center, Inc. Located in prestigious Research Park, Sci-Quest is housed in a 40,000 square foot facility with interactive exhibits for people of all ages. At this self-guided facility visitors can whisper over 100 feet, peer into infinity, test gravity and much more.

EarlyWorks
The EarlyWorks Museum is Alabama's largest hands-on history center. It is also the first of its kind in the Southeast! Once inside, history emerges in ways you've never seen before. Opportunities to discover, create, envision and explore are just a splash, snap, push and smile away. Listen as the 16-foot talking tree tells folktales. Push the buttons on the EarlyWorks bandstand and enjoy toe-tapping tunes made popular by Alabama musicians. Alabama Constitution Village
Alabama Constitution Village, the "Birthplace of Alabama," is another chief component of the EarlyWorks trio. Here, guests are whisked back to 1819 when Alabama became the 22nd state. Historic interpreters, dressed in period clothing invite visitors to participate in demonstrations like carding cotton, turning the great wheel lathe for the cabinetmaker, churning butter or dipping candles.

Huntsville Museum of Art
The Huntsville Museum of Art is the largest museum devoted to painting and decorative arts between Nashville and Birmingham. Visit seven galleries to see touring exhibitions and highlights from the museum's permanent collection. Admission is free except for periodic blockbuster shows.

Burritt On The Mountain
The Burritt Museum and Park is a unique museum of regional history housed in the mountaintop home of Dr. William Henry Burritt. The remarkable 14-room mansion built in the shape of an X in the 1930's is insulated with 2,200 bales of wheat straw. The Historic Park contains restored farm buildings which interpret rural life during 1850 and 1900.

The Land Trust
The Land Trust of Huntsville and North Alabama has preserved over 2.300 acres of open space in Madison County including the 600+ acre Monte Sano Preserve on Monte Sano Mountain and the 500+ acre Wade Mountain Preserve in Northwest Huntsville. Leisurely walks and challenging hikes, wildflower trails and natural springs make the preserves a great place to experience the great Alabama outdoors.
